I am still in the middle of Africa! actually not the middle of it, but in Swaziland, and suprisingly this is a very beautiful area. We are in Manzila (I think that is what it's called) and we are staying at a guest house where 40 of the girls are sleeping in the house (everywhere, kitchen, hallways and all) and the guys have 2 huge tents out on the front lawn. I don't even know what to describe to all of you. On Saturday we left Alabanza in South Africa and loaded up our comvees (vanbuses) and drove about 6 hours to get to Swaziland, everything at the border went by smoothly, a few of the girls got proposed to at the border, but with the no-dating policy they had to decline ;) We got into our house around 7 in the evening, then started unloading everything, while the team that was already here was cooking dinner for us (sausage on a fire) then we all had dinner and some praise and worship time. Then sunday we got to sleep in a bit before going to church, which wasย  a very rural place (they split our team up into 2 groups and to 2 churches) the chruch I went to was a concrete building where men sat on one side on benches and women sat on the other side on the floor with rugs or the few benches, then we sang and sang and sang, then finally after about 2 hours the preacher came up and talked on being succesors to God's Kingdom and used Joshua as his example, he was a very animated guy and spoke english for us and had another guy who was just as animated translate for the Swazis. After church we had time to just kind of kick it around the house, do some chores and walk about a mile to a gas station where we could get some snacks. The rest of the week kind of went like this. Breakfast at 8, Quiet time at 8:30, Sessions from 9:30-12 (This weeks topic was Identity in Christ) and then a quick quick lunch before going off to our ministry outreaches, Monday and Tuesday my group went to 2 different carepoints which are places for orphans to stay and school kids to come and get one meal a day and just to have some safety for a while. The first one had gogos (like grandmas) making purses that they sell to keep the carepoint running which was very neat. Then after ministry (we usually got back around 5:30-6) We had a break, until dinner at 7 then another session at 8-10 then back to the house for a chill time and then bed. Wed for ministry we went to the squattercamp, which is basically a neighborhood that doesn't exist. It's land that people have moved on and make huts and homes out of whatever they can, stone, metal etc. Me and two girls on my team and a translater walked down to this one man's house named Julius, who I connected with pretty easily and his english was excelent, so the girls and translator took off to another house while I sat and talked with Julius for about 3 hours, I prayed for him and then had to leave. But yesterday, Thursday, we had an ATL (ask the Lord) about where we should go for ministry, and me and a few others felt like downtown is where we should go, so we got a ride down (it's about a 45 minute walk otherwise) and we sat down in a nice park and played some worship songs with a guitar, and talked to people who came by and asked what the heck a bunch of white people were doing in Swaziland, so we got to explain our ministry, and pray for a few people. The people here loved to be prayed for, which is really cool, and we told them that we were having a big feast at the squattercamp around 3. That was the other really cool thing for yesterday, we all pitched in some money to buy a cow to cook up for the squattercamp and to have some preaching. I'm gonna put up the picture of me carrying the cowhead when I can. So it was a big party and everything, and we got to talk to a lot of people and pray for them. I'm running out of time again on the internet, but that was basically this week. If you want to know some specifics email me or comment me PLEASE and tell me what is going on in life for you. I am exicted to hear how life is for you.
WEll I love you all and thank you so much for your prayers and everything you have done for me.
GOd Bless SalBongya (goodbye)
JB
