Other things that have happened, that probably aren’t so spiritual…

I got to see a big-beached whale. Pictures are below. It was kind of a funny story. Our team was sitting in one of the cabins, watching the Office Season 4 (oh yeah!) when Michelle comes running in telling us that we need to come outside quick. So we stop The Office and run out, and are told there's a beached whale way down the beach. So we decided to call one of the leaders and get her to drive us down. All 13 of us pile in the minivan and drive down to where half the town is parked out of a few people's backyards. So we all pile out and run down to the beach and see people just standing around the whale. And of course, some of us just had to touch it… And of course there is a drunk African man, who is entertaining the crowd. Someone told him to ride it and of course he does. He gets on the whale and a wave hits it and… he falls. Funny times.

We have been really busy with our Leadership and Discipleship conference. I don't remember if I told you I was in the Discipleship one, but its been going pretty well. We got a lot of info that will hopefully help us along with our people that we meet in Kenya. So that's been taking up most of the day. The man leading it is a pastor from Kansas City named Jim, and one of the guys he brought with him is named Greg and just an awesome guy who I had some good talks with.

Ministry has been cool. We only get to do it for 3 or 4 hours, but it's been good. I've met the lifeguards and gotten to know a few of them and gotten to have a good time with them. Also Tuesday, Luke and me got to take another bum out to late lunch at the sunflower again. His name was Johnson and it was his birthday. We got to speak some good truth into him and encourage him where he is. Also got to go to a local coffee shop and got to know the owner and encourage her in her walk with Christ.

Michelle J. Got baptized this morning at 7:30 on the beach. It was pretty awesome. They were too far out in the water to have any good shots of, so this is the before shot.

The pictures below are from the first Monday, I think, when we went out as teams and did our team builder of building a sandcastle. Good times.

We haven't had much beach time, which is a bummer, but we'll have a bit of time this weekend before we go back to Alabanza.

12 days till I get home. 10 Till I get back to the states.
