Hello my blog readers, I come to you with some new…news. I hope that you are continuing to pray for Kenya and the turmoil that has been unleashed there. Continue to pray for our brothers and sisters there.
Well, I received a call last night from my amazing leader Cassie, who was with us in Safrica, and will be going back with us this semester. After getting over the "how was the holidays?" (which were good) she told me why she had called (besides just wanting to hear my voice) the newest update, which will be updated a few more times, is that our trip to Kenya has been postponed… at least for now. With all the crazyness going on right now, our AIM leaders have decided it would not be safe for us to be there until things calm down. So our options have been limited down to 2: a) Not go anywhere this semester and stay in the States to do ministry, b) To go to Swaziland until things calm down in Kenya, where we will be working alongside our Swazi team, which is exciting in it's own way.
After praying about this I have decided that I am supposed to go back, wherever it may be.
My difficulty comes in of needing to get another/different ticket depending on how safe things are in Nairobi, if things continue as they are I will need to change my flight from London to Johannesburg instead of Nairobi, or if things look safe enough I will fly from Nairobi to Johannesburg. But either way, I am going to have to repurchase a plane ticket. I am asking you to prayerfully consider whether to help me out in this area (along with prayer, which I hope all of you do anyways J). I will be looking up ticket prices very soon to start booking. If you would like to/feeling lead to help me out financially you can hit the support me link on the side, which will be sent into AIM, and I can get my plane ticket that way, or you can directly send me money, which I can put into the account for you.
I want to thank you all for your support and love that you have shown me over the last few months, I hope you will continue to be there with me along this journey that has taken an unexpected turn, but my goal will not falter, I ask that you stand along with me as we continue down this path to bring about Christ's Kingdom. AMEN.
